Gift from the Cultural Center of India

The Embassy of India in the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Lal Bahadir Shastri Indian Cultural Center made a gift to the Department of South and Southeast Asian Languages at the Faculty of Oriental Philology – they presented an electronic board worth $ 5,500. An electronic board simultaneously performs the functions of a computer, television, projector, radio and a number of other functions. Using the blackboard, students will study Hindi more deeply, the role of such a blackboard is especially important when setting the correct pronunciation by listening to live Indian speech and speaking Hindi texts via the Internet, while studying the culture and traditions of India by watching various video materials. The director of the Lal Bahadir Shastri Indian Cultural Center, professor, Mr. Chandra Shekha, the vice-rector of the Tashkent State Institute for International Cooperation  E. Mahmudov, the Head of the Department of South and Southeast Asian Languages, Doctor of Philosophy, professor U. Mukhibova took part in the ceremony of transferring such a valuable and necessary gift. In his speech, the director of the Lal Bahadir Shastri Indian Cultural Center, Mr. Chandra Shekha, noted that the Institute of Oriental Studies has more than 70 years of experience in teaching Hindi, that all the efforts and activities of professors and teachers of the department are a great contribution to the development of friendly and scientific relations between the two our countries.
