Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies expand cooperation
From 15 to 19 June 2018 Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies delegation led by the Rector Prof. Abdurahim Mannanov paid a visit to Republic of Korea. The visit’s highlight was a debate on collaboration between Uzbek and Korean universities.
On 15 June, a meeting between Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS) and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies took place in Seoul. The visit aimed to discuss the prospect for the mutual cooperation, with special focus on the TSUOS Faculty of Korean Studies. The meeting concluded with signing of a Memorandum of Understanding envisioned broad cooperation in education and research.
Hankuk University of Foreign Studies has been the first Korean higher education institution to offer courses in foreign language studies. In 2007s it launched the Uzbek Studies programme in Republic of Korea.
During his visit in Republic of Korea, Prof. Abdurahim Mannanov also met with president of the Academy of Korean Studies (AKC) – scholars involved in the cooperation between TSUOS and AKS.
