Uzbek classical literature in Russian oriental studies: seminar and book presentation
The strategic partnership and friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Russia in the cultural, humanitarian, scientific and educational fields are rapidly developing and strengthening. A striking example of this is the intensification of partnerships between higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan and Russia.
Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies established cooperation with leading institutions of Oriental Studies of the Russian Federation, such as the Institute of Asian and African Countries of Moscow State University, St. Petersburg State University, Kazan Federal University and others. There is also a research project to study the literary sources of Khorezm, which are stored in the manuscript fund of the Institute of Oriental Studies. Abu Rayhon Beruni and the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts of the Russian Academy of Sciences in St. Petersburg. On the basis of the projectwas written the book “Russian Oriental Studies of the 20th Century and Uzbek Classical Literature”.
On October 17, 2018, a seminar on the theme “Uzbek classical literature in Russian oriental studies” was held at the Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies. The seminar was attended by professors, orientalists, graduate students, researchers and students. Doctor of Philology G. Khalliyeva gave a lecture on the topic “Uzbek Classical Literature in Russian Oriental Studies” and doctor of philological sciences U. Mukhibova gave a lecture on the topic “Study of Literature of the Baburids Period in Russian Oriental Studies”. Also was held the presentation of the book titled “Russian Oriental Studies of the 20th Century and Uzbek Classical Literature”.
