The department was established in 2018 due to the separation from the department of “Economics and Regional Studies of the Pacific and South-East Asia” with a staff of 7 with a further increase in teaching staff.

The economy of Korea,

Korean language,

History and culture of Korea,

The state and socio-political system of Korea,

The economic relations of Korea with other countries,

Political science,

Regional features of world politics,

Geopolitics,

The history of world politics,

The problem of disarmament and international security,

The theory of world politics and international relations,

History of Korea.

Main disciplines of the Master’s degree:

World economic systems,

Scientific-innovative and scientific-technical directions of development of Korea,

Demographic features of Korea,

The problems of Korea’s economic development in the context of globalization

The financial system of Korea.

Graduates of the department join the ranks of businessmen, consultants, experts and analysts in economics and politics of Korea. Among them there are many diplomatic corps representatives, company managers, sales representatives, tourism and hotel service managers, employees of numerous Korean companies operating in the Republic of Uzbekistan, guides-translators, scientists and teachers of higher and secondary special educational institutions, customs and tax inspectors.
