Azamat Ziyo: We must develop oriental studies

It is well known that this year in our country is the year of elections to the parliament. In this regard, the political parties are organizing various meetings, roundtables in order to communicate with citizens, to get acquainted with their problems, suggestions and recommendations, to disseminate propaganda among the population for the purpose of informing them about their election programs. One of such events was held on February 21, 2019 at  Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies. Representatives of the National Democratic Party of Uzbekistan “Milliy tiklanish”: Deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, member of the “Milliy tiklanish” party fraction in the lower house of parliament, Professor Azamat Ziyo, chairperson of the Central Council of the “Milliy tiklanish” party Feruza Makhamadjanova, Deputy Chairman of the Mirabad District Council of the”Milliy tiklanish” party visited Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies to promote the activities of the party and  develop cooperation with the staff of the institute.

The event was opened by the rector of the institute, Professor A.Mannonov, and he congratulated the candidate of the institute G.Rikhsiyeva on the occasion of the election as the member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the event, a member of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Azamat Ziyo talked about the main goals and tasks of the party, its activities. In addition, he stressed the significance of  the development of science, the formation of scientific thinking, support of people involved in scientific activities, especially  support of young scientists, the development of private education. “Today, many Eastern countries are leading in the world in terms of science, innovations and high technological development. At the same time, the east is always honored as the focal point of world civilization. Therefore, we should study the Eastern countries more closely, develop oriental studies, and raise the issue of teaching Oriental languages at schools” mentioned A.Ziyo

During the meeting, Chairman of the Central Council of the “Milliy tiklanish” party Feruza Makhamadjanova also talked about the party’s work on raising women’s political participation and their full support.

During the event, professors and teachers of the Institute addressed to the party members with questions and made suggestions. Also, were touched upon the issues of making orientalism-related broadcasts and radio broadcasts to broaden the knowledge and perceptions of about eastern nations.
